Reviews From Our Clients

Post renovation formaldehyde removal. Engaged LAF ENV and they did an excellent job in removing the smell and almost all the formaldehyde. I have cabinets in all my rooms and many drawers. The smell stayed strong for several months. Recommend this company if you are considering formaldehyde removal especially if you need this done well. Protect your loved ones and yourself from these harmful volatile organic compounds. Before and after photos attached.

He was not only considerate and helpful throughout the process but also went beyond the call of duty to help me settle in. The team’s professionalism and dedication to customer care were outstanding. We have moved in for more than a month and the cabinets were still reeking of formaldehyde smell. I tried using removal gel, baking soda and charcoal, none of these seemed to help with reducing the bad fumes. Each time I opened a drawer or a cupboard door, I immediately gag. We called a few VOC removal companies but we decided with LAF for the great customer service from Freddie. Freddie and his team did an excellent job in removing the bad fumes. At the end of the treatment we could feel the immediate change in the air atmosphere! Thank you very much Freddie for the great service and excellent job!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is one of the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Formaldehyde is a colorless, flammable gas at room temperature, has a pungent, distinct odor, and may cause a burning sensation to the eyes, nose, and lungs at high concentrations.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has classified formaldehyde as a known human carcinogen. There is some evidence of asthma or asthma-like symptoms for children exposed to formaldehyde in homes.

IgE and Asthma

Immunoglobulin E, or IgE, is a kind of antibody that plays an important role in the development of allergic asthma. Increased levels of IgE may result when you are exposed to allergens, such as dust mite, pollen, pet dander, mould spore, particulate matter or formaldehyde. Your body releases IgE, which then binds with several types of cells like basophils, lymphocytes & mast cells. This can then stimulate your immune system, cause your airways to become narrow and inflamed, and make your asthma symptoms worse.
